dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio está abocado a identificar la evolución sufrida por parte de la política antártica chilena bajo el contexto de la Guerra Fría. A partir de 1940, por medio del Decreto Supremo Nº 1.747, el Estado chileno adoptó una posición soberanista respecto a sus intereses en la denomina Antártica Chilena, demostrado esta postura frente a la comunidad internacional por medio de múltiples actos oficiales que fortalecieran su presencia en este sector. Dicha posición de Estado tomaría un carácter más negociador a partir de 1948 por medio de la propuesta Escudero, pero sin perder de vista los intereses del Estado chileno en la Antártica. De esta manera, se producirá una evolución de la política antártica chilena, tomando en cuenta la fuerte presencia de las dos súper potencias dentro del continente blanco y los intereses de los demás países con presencia en la Antártica, proceso que culminará con la firma del Tratado Antártico de 1959.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe present study its focused to identify the evolution undergone by the Chilean Antarctic policy in the context of Cold war. Since 1940, through the Supreme Decree N° 1.747, the Chilean state adopted a sovereignty position regarding their interests in the Chilean Antarctic, demonstrated this position in front of the international community through multiples official acts that strengthened their presence in this sector. This position of the state will take a negotiator character from 1948 by the proposal of Escudero, without losing sight of the interests of the Chilean State in the Antarctic. By this way, there will be an evolution in the policy of Chilean Antarctic, taking the account of the two super powers in the white continent and the interests of the another countries with presence in the Antarctic, process that will finish with the sign of the Treaty Antarctic of 1959.es_ES
