Se menciona por primera vez Plakarthrium typicum Chilton en aguas de la Antártica. La especie era conocida sólo en Nueva Zelandia, Aega antarctica Hodgson es registrada por primera vez como ectoparásito de un pez: Notothenia gibberifrons Lonnberg.
Presence of Plakarthrium typicum Chilton is mentioned for the first time in Antarctic waters. Previously the species was known only from New Zealand. Aega antarctica Hodgson is registered for the first time as fish-ectoparasite: of Notothenia gibberifrons Lonnberg.
